A memorable evening

Hi all,
I am slightly going off the topic of the theme I presented, but can't resist to mention April 14th , 2010 evening which is the date when I attended my first ever live musical concert.

PANDIT JASRAJ along with his 5 supporters on tabla, pakhawaj, harmonium, sarangi(two) were present on the stage. Unlike most of the Indian events it started at exactly at the time mentioned to start 1830hrs.
The threater was jam packed, people were outnumbering the seats available, some of them were standing and some of them were sitting on floor/stairs. The age group of the of the audience is varying not only older people came to cherish but also the young ones were present there.
The two hour long concert started with paying obeisance to God and following with the four mesmerizing bandhish by Pt Jasraj.
The range of his voice was too large and  everytime he explored his range only to attract a cheer applause from the audience. His quality and talent can't be explained in mere words one need to listen to appreciate his fuller sense of commitment towards music and God.
In summary, last evening  was a scintillating, jubiliant and a memorable experience.
The true sense of Indian classical music unfolded to give mind and soul an cherishing moment in lifetime.
